Our Ebenezer: A Monument to God’s Faithfulness
"Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us " — 1 Samuel 7:12 (KJV)
At Ebenezer Church of the Living GOD, our name is not just a title—it is our declaration of faith and our story of survival.
In 1 Samuel 7, after a long season of battle and uncertainty, the prophet Samuel gathered the people to declare victory, not because of their own strength, but because of God’s intervention. He set up a physical stone, an Ebenezer, which literally means "Stone of Help," to serve as an everlasting memorial that God had brought them through their darkest times.
"What is Your "Ebenezer"?
Life brings battles—times of trouble, sickness, financial strain, or emotional exhaustion. We often forget how God intervened in the past when we are facing new challenges. An Ebenezer is a physical reminder, a marker of a moment where you know, without a doubt, that God stepped in and provided victory.
For us, this church stands as that monument. It is a place where we stop and remember:
The Battles Won: When we were outnumbered and afraid, God fought for us.
The Help Provided: When resources were low, God was our provider.
The Faithfulness Proven: "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us"—He brought us this far, and He will not abandon us now.
A Place of Remembering
We invite you to come to Ebenezer Church of the Living GOD to find your own "stone of help." Whether you are looking for a place to worship, a place to heal, or a place to remember, our doors are open to testify to the goodness of the Lord.
No matter what you are facing, know that the same God who brought you to this point is faithful to take you through to the end.
Come, let us raise our Ebenezer together.
